Burnley v Watford – Turf Moor at 20:00 live on Sky Sports One
My first Premier League Asian Handicap betting Preview in a while, but I am looking to take home some more profit after a good weekend. Burnley host Watford in what, to me, isn’t the most appealing Monday Night Football.

I hope to be proven wrong, but the way both clubs are playing at the moment hasn’t really got me off the edge of my seat, especially with Burnley. Just one win so far this season is not good enough for manager Sean Dyche. The manager who quoted saying that if he was foreign, he would be seen as a Mourinho or Guardiola…yeah.
A negative for the club is that Andre Gray is banned for four matches following his comments on social media. A massive blow for Burnley, and my Fantasy Football team. The English striker looks to be the main outlet for the Clarets, and without him I cannot see how they will score.
One player I hope to see step up tonight is Jeff Hendrick. Having signed from Derby County, the Irish midfielder hasn’t left his mark yet at Turf Moor. But if there was a game to step up to, it is here. He was instrumental in the European Championships and I hope he progresses on to become a solid player.
Having picked up just one win so far this season, and only scoring three goals, I could see Burnley being relegated. However it is still early days, but something needs to change at the club if they want to stay up.
Watford, on the other hand, will be buzzing after their 3-1 victory against Manchester United last weekend; Etienne Capoue continuing his scoring run by giving the Hornets the lead. Walter Mazzarri changing from a 5-3-2 to a 3-4-1-2 formation, with the two full-backs playing as wing-backs. As a result, it worked as United couldn’t break them down at Vicarage Road.
Questions are still being raised about Odion Ighalo, who didn’t have the greatest game against United last week. Substituted off in the second half for Isaac Success, it has to be asked whether he should start tonight. Yet, this seems like the perfect game for him to get out there and take a few shots against this Burnley defence. He and Troy Deeney should benefit from it.
I still hold mixed feelings about current manager Mazzarri. Granted we have to move on from Quique Flores, but he made a cup semi-final as well finishing 13th in the league last season. Consequently, Mazzarri at the moment has not made me feel he could do a better job, yet two wins on the bounce could be the game changer for the season ahead.
I would back a Watford win for this one. Reasons? There are a few, mainly being the squad at Mazzarri’s disposal. On top of this, the formation 3-5-1-2 could break down the flat 4-4-2 used by Dyche at Turf Moor.
Furthermore, four of their last five matches have ended in draws. Their most recent meeting finishing 1-1 at Vicarage Road in 2014.
Looking at the price, and it is one I cannot turn down. Watford -0.25 at 2.14 is one I am taking interest to. As a result, I am backing the Hornets to push on and make it three wins on the bounce!
