Valencia v Alaves Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Thursday 22nd Sept by @The_Drewse

Valencia v Alaves – Mestalla Stadium at 21:00 live on Sky Sports 2

For my first European Asian Handicap betting preview I’ll be covering Valencia and Alaves. Los Che are in disarray having lost their first four games of the season that sees them at the bottom of the table.

Pako Ayestaran was relieved of his duties on Tuesday having been at the club for just six months. Voro has replaced him for his fourth spell as caretaker. The merry go round at The Mestalla continues under the ownership of Peter Lim. With five managerial changes in his two-year tenure.

There is some positive news for Valencia as Enzo Perez returns from suspension. He will most likely replace Mario Suarez as the holding midfielder for them. Other than their opening 4-2 loss to Las Palmas, Valencia have lost by a one-goal margin. Ezequiel Garay and Mat Ryan remain sidelined for the home team.

Enzo Perez

Alaves have made a steady, albeit unspectacular return to La Liga. El Glorioso remain unbeaten in the league and find themselves in mid-table as Mauricio Pellegrini will hope to retain his side’s resilience.  The biggest concern for Alaves is their lack of firepower as they have only scored three in four games. With their most notable result being a 2-1 away win against Barcelona.

Zouhair Feddal (ankle) remains the only absentee for Alaves as they will aim to keep their unbeaten run in the league.

Stats History

This will be the first meeting between the two sides for ten years, with Valencia doing the double over them in the 2005/06 season.

Los Che have kept a clean sheet in their last four games against Alaves and have not lost against them in six games.

Asian Handicap Betting Prediction

This has a low-scoring affair written all over it, with both sides struggling for goals. Therefore I recommend backing under 2.75 goals at 1.76 with Eastbridge.

Prices correct at the time of writing.
