Hapoel Beer Sheva v Southampton Asian Handicap Betting Preview By @The_Drewse

Hapoel Beer Sheva v Southampton – Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium at 18:00 on BT Sport 3

For my first Europa League Asian Handicap Betting preview, I’ll be covering the Hapoel Beer Sheva v Southampton match. Both teams won their opening matches, with Hapoel gaining a surprise away win against Inter Milan. Southampton, as predicted beat Sparta Prague in convincing fashion.

Hapoel Beer Sheva

Hapoel find themselves in third position in the Israeli Premier League having beat Bnei Yahuda. Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme scored two goals in the game. He’ll look to maintain his rich vein of form against the Saints.

Although solid at the top, The Camels’ main strength is their back line. They’ve got the meanest defence in their domestic league, conceding just 3 goals in 5 games. They also kept a clean sheet at the San Siro, one of the hardest arenas in World football to get a result from.  The incumbent Israeli champions have a fantastic record at their stadium (The Turner Stadium). They are unbeaten in five UEFA home fixtures that stretches back to 2004 in a forfeit loss. Hapoel have also won all five of their competitive matches at The Turner.

Charlie Austin

Southampton have found another gear to kickstart their campaign, having started of very slowly.  The team have adapted to Claude Puel’s tactics and have won four on the spin with as many clean sheets.

Charlie Austin is currently on a hot streak with 5 goals in his last 4 games and must be favourite for first goal scorer. The former QPR striker must surely be in contention for an England call-up.  The Saints shouldn’t underestimate their opponents especially with The Camels’ shock win against Inter and their imperious home form.

Southampton are still without new signing Sofiane Boufal, who isn’t expected to return until October. He is joined on the treatment table by Jay Rodriguez and Florin Gardos who won’t be making the 3,700 km journey to Israel. There will be a couple of acquaintances for the opposing teams. Miguel Vitor of Beer Sheva played with Southampton’s captain Jose Fonte for two years. While Ben Sahar and Ryan Bertrand were team-mates at Chelsea.

I believe that this will be a somewhat tricky game for the Saints. You have to put into consideration the long journey that they’ll take and their lack of experience in European games. I do however think that they’ll persevere and edge their Israeli counterparts by a scoreline of 2-1. Midfielder James Ward-Prowse should start this game, with Puel expected to make wholesale changes. I’m a huge fan of the England under-21 captain and suggest that he’ll be pivotal to their success tonight

Everton v Manchester United Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Sat 23rd Apr by @jbanksy91

Everton v Manchester United – Wembley at 17:15 live on BBC1

It’s FA Cup Semi-Final time and Wembley is ready to host a game between two teams with plenty of FA Cup history. It’s not been the best season for either Everton or Manchester United but finishing the campaign with some silverware will lift the spirits of the fans.

[expand title=”Read More…” swaptitle=”Hide” trigpos=”below” rel=”star-highlander” ]

Everton come in to this game with no form at all. It’s six games without a win in all competitions for the Toffee’s and people are starting to doubt the capabilities of their manager. Roberto Martinez’s job does not get any easier, he will be without Ramiro Funes Mori after his Merseyside Derby red and could also be missing Phil Jagielka through injury. This could be a very tough day for Everton fans who travel down to London.

Manchester United have managed to turn things around ever so slightly. An FA Cup Semi-Final and a chance of Champions League football has changed the mood at Old Trafford just a little bit. This is by no means the Manchester United of old but with only one defeat in their last eight they’ll believe they’ll have too much for Everton at Wembley.

I too think Louis Van Gaal’s men will be too tough for the Toffee’s and will come out on top on Saturday. I’m backing United -0.5 at a reasonable 2.1 and fully expect to see the Manchester club in May’s FA Cup Final.

West Ham v Liverpool Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Tue 9th Feb by @tashason21

West Ham v Liverpool – Upton Park at 19:45 live on BT Sport 2

Tonight West Ham take on Liverpool in this FA Cup replay to decide who enters the 5th round of the competition. The game at Anfield a few weeks ago ended in a 0-0 draw, which wasn’t ideal for Liverpool in particular, who have a very busy schedule due to their additional involvement in the League Cup Final and Europa League. The winner of this tie will face Blackburn at Ewood Park on Sunday 21st February.

[expand title=”Read More…” swaptitle=”Hide” trigpos=”below” rel=”star-highlander” ]

Last weekend, Liverpool somehow managed to squander a 2 goal lead against Sunderland, after conceding in the 82nd and 89th minute. A 2-2 draw felt like a defeat for Liverpool fans, after finding themselves in such a promising position with only 10 minutes remaining! Firmino and Lallana got on the scoresheet for The Reds, with the former having scored 5 goals in his last 5 Premier League matches. Despite Firmino starting to find some form, Liverpool are without a win in their last 3 games across all competitions.

Adam Lallana

West Ham were beaten 1-0 by Southampton on Saturday, although they have been on a decent run of late, which has seen them move into 6th place in the Premier League table. Bilic’s side played most of the 2nd half of that match against 10 men, following Victor Wanyama’s red card, but they still failed to get anything out of the game.

At the start of January, Liverpool suffered a 2-0 defeat away against West Ham in the league, but tonight they could be boosted by the return of Daniel Sturridge, who was an unused substitute in the game against Sunderland. The Reds will also be relieved to hear that Klopp has made a speedy recovery from a bout of appendicitis, which required surgery last weekend and forced him to miss the game against The Black Cats. Klopp will return to the dugout tonight however and in his press conference yesterday stated that he is still undecided on his starting line-up.

Liverpool may be without Dejan Lovren (hamstring) and Joe Allen (knock) after the pair were both replaced during the draw with Sunderland. West Ham will be without their new signing Sam Byram, who is cup tied and James Tomkins will also miss out after injuring himself against Southampton.

As West Ham have scored 2 goals in each of their last 4 Premier League fixtures at home and Roberto Firmino is in good form, I recommend backing over 2.5 goals on the Asian Handicap betting market.
