Before he moved to Everton, he was first in Hamburger SV. Onana moved to second division club Hamburger SV in mid-m 2020. He made his professional debut for the club in his 2020/21 first round of 2020/21 DFB his Cup and came on as a 60th-minute substitute against 3. La Liga Dynamo Dresden. The £33 Deal

Everton has signed their fifth deal recently, making their biggest acquisition under Frank Lampard’s reign by signing Lille midfielder Amadou Onana for £33m. They beat out West Ham competition for the Belgian international signing on his five-year contract at Goodison Park. Onana, who finished a medical at Merseyside over the weekend, said he wishes to learn from Lampard, one of the best midfielders of his generation. He said, in summary, that it feels good to be a part of a big club like Everton, one of the biggest football clubs in England and that it is what he dreamed about a lot. Another solid reason was the manager, who played at the highest level, won a lot, and was also a midfielder. Amadou said he was pleased with his interest and confident that he could learn much from the new coach.

Powerful, quick, technical, and capable of developing into a variety of central midfield roles, Onana said the opportunity of playing under manager Frank Lampard, a passionate Evertonian and one of England’s biggest clubs, was the key to his long-term contract – a future at Everton.

After an impressive season in Hamburger, Everton’s new number 8 joined Lille last summer and has made 42 appearances in all competitions, including eight in the Champions League, making him a star in France as he caught the eyes of many. After the significant progress of Onana in all age groups for Belgium, including as a U-21 captain, he earned his international cap against the Netherlands in June.

Onana also added that he plays as a defensive midfielder or eighth box to box in any central midfield position. He is also open to playing wherever the manager needs him. He also said on taking the number 8, that he is a big fan of Kobe Bryant, so he casually chose the number 8 jersey. His work ethic and how he does things inspired Amadou, so he was excited to win the number at Everton.

Onana made these comments after the transfer deal had been finalized. The 21-year-old Belgium international, who only made 15 starts for Lille, agreed to a fee of £25.3million (€30m) with add-ons potentially taking the deal to Everton to £33.7m (€40m).

The Manchester United Pursuit of Bologna Striker, Marko Arnautovic, Has Come to an End

About Marko Arnautoviс

Marko Arnautoviс is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as an attacker for Serie A club Bologna and the Austria national team.

He was born in April 19, 1989. Before signing a deal with Dutch side Twente in 2006, Arnautovic began his career in his native Austria as a member of youth teams for a variety of clubs in and around Vienna. He has already performed in four nations. Three seasons were spent at FC Twente in the Netherlands, where he made his professional debut. After a brief loan spell with Inter Milan, Arnautovic joined German club Werder Bremen in June 2010 and became a first-team regular.

Mark Hughes, the manager of Stoke City, paid £2 million in the summer of 2013 to bring Arnautovic to England. In his third season in the Premier League, Arnautovic is now demonstrating why Hughes wanted him to join the club. In his last seven home matches, Arnautovic has contributed directly to seven goals (three goals and four assists). Arnautovic is also a regular for the Austrian national team, where he has earned 48 caps. Austria finished as group winners to qualify for a major tournament for the first time since 1998, when Austria played in Euro 2008 but automatically qualified as co-hosts. After a successful 2008–09 campaign with De Grolsch Veste, he joined Inter Milan on loan for the 2009–10 season but was limited to three games due to injury.

In September 2013, Arnautovic joined the English club Stoke City, where he scored 26 goals in 145 matches. He joined West Ham United in July 2017 for £20 million and earned the Hammer of the Year title in his first season. He scored 22 goals in 65 games over two seasons for West Ham before joining Shanghai SIPG (formerly Shanghai Port) for £22.4 million in July of 2019. In August of 2021, Arnautovic returned to Europe to join Bologna.

Since 2008, Arnautovic has contributed to Austria’s qualification for the 2016 and 2020 UEFA European Championships as a full international with over 100 appearances. In 2018, he was awarded Austria’s best footballer. Arnautovic is the Austrian national team’s second-most-capped player and third-highest scorer in history.

Manchester United Pursuit And The Result

Due to the uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford and the lack of options up front following Anthony Martial’s hamstring injury, Arnautovic surfaced as a surprising target for Erik ten Hag. Over the course of the weekend, Arnautovic surfaced as a surprising transfer target for Manchester United. According to reports, United had a deal in the region of £8 million rejected for the 33-year-old player.

United’s Premier League debut on Saturday resulted in a 2-1 loss to Brighton. Ten Hag downplayed rumors that the club would sign the former West Ham United and Stoke City forward. At Old Trafford, Christian Eriksen began the match in a false nine position, while Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho played in wide areas.

Anthony Martial was ruled out with a hamstring injury, and after only 45 minutes of preseason action, Cristiano Ronaldo was deemed unfit to start. From 2013 to 2019, Arnautovic scored 43 goals in 184 Premier League games.

According to Marco Di Vaio, the club’s sports director, Bologna has reaffirmed their stance that Marko Arnautovic is not available for purchase despite interest from Manchester United. However, just this month, Manchester United  ceased its pursuit of Bologna forward Marko Arnautovic. New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was contemplating a move for the 33-year-old Austrian striker, with whom he had worked at FC Twente. It is believed that United withdrew due to a combination of Bologna’s increasing transfer fee demands and the negative response.

Manchester United’s interest in Arnautovic was met with criticism from fans already dissatisfied with the club’s lack of movement on summer transfer market priority goals.

It is believed that fans also contacted senior United officials with worries about Arnautovic’s prior behavior. After scoring against North Macedonia, the Austrian international, who is half-Serbian, was banned for one game at the European Championship last summer for “insulting another player”.

Top five players for Man Utd in next EPL season

Things are going up for Manchester United after the team got Erik ten Hag as its new manager on board and potential looms to land new key pieces through player transfers.

Exciting times are also up ahead for five players who have the skills to create an impact for the Red Devils as the new English Premier League (EPL) season approaches.

Let’s break down who these five players are and why fans should keep their eyes glued on them as Manchester United seeks to return to EPL glory.

GARNACHO, PELLISTRI LEAD LATAM FLAVOR FOR RED DEVILS

Alejandro Garnacho may have been born in Madrid, Spain, but he earned his spurs as an Argentina youth international before embarking on a professional career.

The 18-year-old winger will carry the youth and lots of energy for the Red Devils after coming off an impressive stint in the FA Youth Cup.

A new opportunity may just be what Facundo Pellistri needs and Manchester United can give him that.

The 20-year-old Uruguay winger can use the pre-season to fine-tune his game and impress ten Hag after he struggled in his stint with Spanish club Alaves.

Pellistri could fill a need for a winger with the Red Devils this upcoming season, but the 5-foot-9 Montevideo native will have to compete against Amad for a place in the first team.

MALACIA, MARTIAL CAN FILL PRESSING NEED

All eyes could be focused on Tyrell Malacia, who was announced as one of the latest Manchester United additions last week.

Malacia’s tenacious style of play earned him the moniker “Pitbull ” in the Netherlands, and ten Hag can use a player like him to boost the team’s left-back position.

Anthony Martial may play a crucial role as one of the Red Devils’ most senior forwards who need to step up.

For a forward who once scored 23 goals in 2019-20, Martial is a piece ten Hag should take a second look at, as the Frenchman can still form a potent front three with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford for the Red Devils.

GARNER A MIDFIELDER WORTH A SECOND LOOK

There are several spots for midfielders that are available for the Red Devils, and James Garner is more than capable to fill one of them.

The 21-year-old Australian midfielder is expected to carry his experience in from the youth international level, after he played for England’s under-17, under-18, under-19, under-20, and under-21 teams.

The starting midfielder position won’t be given on a silver platter for Garner, as he battles Dutch professional footballer Donny van de Beek for the position.

TEN HAG READY WITH OR WITHOUT RONALDO

Despite the arrival of some new faces and the potential of returning faces, Ten Hag can’t escape the question most fans would like to hear answered: Is Manchester United ready to go on with or without Cristiano Ronaldo?

Ten Hag admitted to not talking with Ronaldo personally, but he said the team is “planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season.”

If the recent summer run-out at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where United faced Liverpool, serves as the basis, expect an intense yet competitive environment under ten Hag.

The new manager is committed to steering the Red Devils to a familiar place after the new season ends: another EPL championship.
