Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Brother Reportedly Signing With NBA Team

Kostas Antetokounmpo

Greek professional basketball player Konstantinos Ndubuisi “Kostas” Antetokounmpo is known by his nickname “Kostas.” He now plays for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association. He was a Dayton Flyers basketball team member during his time at the university.

Antetokounmpo officially entered his name into the 2018 NBA draft pool on March 22. He is the older brother of Alex, who plays basketball, and the younger brother of Giannis and Thanasis, both of whom also play basketball. Francis, the eldest of his brothers, also plays association football professionally. In Athens, he started his basketball career with the younger teams of the Filathlitikos organization.

Antetokounmpo was one of the 69 players who participated in the NBA Draft Combine on May 4, 2018, setting a new record for the number of participants. Because Antetokounmpo did not make any significant strides forward during his redshirt first year at college, people anticipated that he would be selected in the second round. It would be the same fate as his older brother Thanasis.

The Philadelphia 76ers used the last choice in the 2018 NBA draft to choose him and promptly dealt him to the Dallas Mavericks after making their selection. On July 13, Antetokounmpo signed a contract allowing him to play for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Bucks’ opponents.

During the contract, he was expected to share his playing time between the Mavericks and the Texas Legends, the Mavericks’ NBA G League affiliate team. On March 20, 2019, he played his first game in the National Basketball Association, which was a loss against the Portland Trail Blazers 118–126. Antetokounmpo was released by the Mavericks on July 19, 2019, after the team had decided not to retain him.

On July 22, 2019, the Los Angeles Lakers claimed Giannis Antetokounmpo after he had been made available through waivers. On August 13, 2020, he scored a career-high seven points for the team in a game that they lost 136–122 to the Sacramento Kings. He was on a two-way deal and participated in only five games throughout the season.

Antetokounmpo earned his first championship with the Los Angeles Lakers when the team defeated the Miami Heat in six games. During the finals, Antetokounmpo was relegated to the role of a reserve player. He becomes the first basketball player of Greek descent ever to win an NBA championship.

The following year, his brothers Giannis and Thanasis, who played for the Milwaukee Bucks, beat their titles as teammates. Antetokounmpo re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on November 26, 2020, agreeing to a two-way contract. After that, Antetokounmpo inked an agreement with LDLC ASVEL on July 16, 2021, making him a French Betclic Élite and a EuroLeague member.

Antetokounmpo began his career with the Greek national team when he was a junior and was a member of the Under-20 squad. He competed in the 2016 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship Division B and was awarded the bronze medal for his performance there. [27] During the competition, he finished each game with an average of 1.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.3 assists.

Signing With NBA Team

According to a tweet published Sunday by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Kostas Antetokounmpo will join the Chicago Bulls. He is the younger brother of Antetokounmpo Giannis, a notable player for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Even though he is only 27 years old, Giannis Antetokounmpo is already considered one of the greatest NBA players. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player twice, the NBA title, the Defensive Player of the Year award, and the MVP award for the Finals. He also earned all of these accolades simultaneously.

Antetokounmpo is one of four siblings, and all of them are basketball players (Francis, Alex, Kostas, and Thanasis). Alex played in the G League this past season, while Thanasis is presently playing for the Milwaukee Bucks with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Francis has played semi-professional basketball and professional soccer.

Throughout three seasons, he has appeared in 22 games in the NBA (two with the Mavs and 20 with the Lakers), averaging 1.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per game during that time. Currently, he is only 24 years old, indicating that he is still a youthful man.

The Chicago Bulls’ training camp will start in under two weeks, and they will play their first preseason game on October 4 against the New Orleans Pelicans at home. It may give him an excellent opportunity to demonstrate his abilities to the rest of the roster at training camp and, with any luck, earn playing time during the preseason.

Slam Dunk Show at Basketball Camp

Slam Dunk Basketball Camp is a camp for boys and girls entering grade 3 – 9 in order to increase the knowledge of the basketball game and at the same time, facilitating vitality.

Recently, Russell was photographed immersed in what is believed to be a children’s basketball camp on Saturday. The NBA veteran, who will soon be 15 years in the game, can still m jump with the best out of them. LA Lakers superstar and former league MVP, Russell Westbrook, put on a show for the kids at basketball camp. The point guard turned the camp into a dunk contest and he showed the kids some great dunks.

One of the camp girls threw a perfect lob when Westbrook dunks the ball. Being only 6ft 3 tall, the point guard is a wild athlete with incredible jumping and speed. He threw the crowd in awe and put on a show for them.

Being widely regarded as one of the fastest players in the league, Westbrook has an incredibly fast first step that allows him to slip past guarding players and ferociously hit the perimeter. Even though his pace has slowed, Westbrook is much faster than most of the players who guard him. The LA Lakers superstar has landed some great dunks over the years.

Fantasy Basketball 2022: The Top Rookie Rankings

Fantasy Basketball 2022

Fantasy basketball is based on constructing teams of players from the respective league and earning points based on their real-life performances. The points earned determines the winners and losers; daily, weekly or per season. In fantasy basketball, you need to be able to stack up the statistics sheet; put up points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and more.

There are two leagues in fantasy basketball. There is:

Head-to-head: Each category

H2H Each category is the most popular one-on-one play in fantasy basketball. It allows you to select an  “X” number of statistical categories. The team’s total is accumulated for each scoring period, and the win, loss or draw is calculated for each category based on the match result (i.e., 6-3-1 in a 10-category tournament).

Rotisserie or Roto

Teams are graded first to last in each statistical category. Points are then awarded based on the rank in each category and added together to determine the total score and league ranking.

In roto tournaments, you don’t have another opponent every week. As described above, you simply keep track of the team’s cumulative portfolio totals as the season progresses. There is no knockout. Simply a first, second, and third place for the team with the most points in all categories at the end of the season.

Top Rookie Ranking

The top rookies for 2022-23fantasy football drafts are:

  • Paolo Banchero, Magic
  • Chet Holmgren, Thunder
  • Jabari Smith, Rockets
  • Keegan Murray, Kings
  • Jaden Ivey, Pistons
  • Shaedon Sharpe, Trailblazers
  • Bennedict Mathurin, Pacers
  • Walker Kessler, Jazz
  • Dyson Daniels, Pelicans
  • Jeremy Sochan, Spurs

Paolo Banchero, Magic

Paolo scores points and can also create shots for himself and his teammates, making him an all-round team player. As a freshman at Duke University, he averaged 17.2 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.13PG, 1.1SP, and 0.9BPG. He shoots 47.8 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from the three-point range and 72.9 percent from the line in 33.0MPG.

Chet Holmgren, Thunder

Chet is one of the 2022 NBA Draft’s most elite defensive prospects. In his first year at Gonzaga, he averaged 14.1 PPG, 9.9RPG, 3.7BPG, 1.9APG, 1.33PG, and  0.8SPG. He shoots 60.7 percent from the field and 39 percent from deep, and 71.7 percent from the line.

Jabari Smith, Rockets

Smith is one of the best shooters in the 2022 NBA Draft. The son of a former NBA player has warmed a reputation for his professionalism, raw intensity, and hard work. He is also a strong defender and doesn’t give an inch when push comes to shove.

Keegan Murray, Kings

Power forward, Keegan is a great combo who knows how to space out the floor. He is comfortable shooting from close range, mid-range, the three-point range, and beyond. The outstanding scorer in college averaged 23.5PPG percent, 55.4FG percent, 39.83P percent, and 74.7FT percent.

Jaden Ivey, Pistons

Jaden comes with speed burst capabilities, big height jumps, and dominates in open point play.

Shaedon Sharpe, Trailblazers

Sharpe was astounding on the open court, had a ton of strength, and completely dominated high school basketball.

Bennedict Mathurin, Pacers

As a sophomore, Mathurin was one of the best players in college in Arizona. After moving to sixth overall, it feels like he found the perfect place for his skills with the Indiana Pacers. He is one of the best shooters in this draft class and has mostly lived up to that filing by going 38.5 percent from the three-point range across three games in Las Vegas.  He is a good athlete who can attack the basket on straight-line drives and score in transition.

Walker Kessler, Jazz

Kessler landed in Salt Lake City as part of the Rudy Gobert deal, and the emerging Jazz could end up using the big guy early as often. He has the potential to instantly impact your field target percentage, bounce count, and block count.

Dyson Daniels, Pelicans

Daniels is probably the best player ever taken out of the G League, and he has an awe-inspiring campaign with Ignite. He is not a burst athlete or a knockdown shooter, but a master ball player and a versatile defender. The impact on scoring will definitely be seen with Dyson Daniels on your team, especially on assets, rebounds, and steals.

Jeremy Sochan, Spurs

Jeremy is very polished in many different ways. He is a classic Gregg Popovich pick; his invisibility and impact km both ends of the floor would almost guarantee him a role 25 minutes from the staff. He will help with efficiency, defense, and some auxiliary tally stats.

The first professional experience of some players in this year’s Fantasy NBA will give us an idea of their skills and abilities. And we will also see many other factors beyond pure performance that will be considered when evaluating the capabilities and performance of players in Fantasy Basketball. Only time will tell how many rookies this time will play an important role in the upcoming games. But even now, we can expect to see some fantastic prospects.
