Russell Westbrook III, who was born November 12, 1988, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, he was a nine-time NBA All-Star and won his NBA Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) in the 2016-17 season.

He was also a nine-time member of the All-NBA team, governed the league in 2014-15 and 2016-17, and earned back-to-back NBA All-Star Game MVP honors in 2015 and 2016.

Russell Westbrook was born on September 23, 1988 in Los Angeles, California. Russell Westbrook is the son of Wanda Westbrook, who was a college basketball player in the 1980s. Westbrook has a wife and three children—a son and twin daughters.

He wears a ‘KB3’ bracelet and has ‘KB3’ on his sneakers in honor of his childhood friend Kelsey Byrds III, who died in earlier years. In 2012 he founded the Russell Westbrook Why Not? A foundation that promotes community-based education and family service programs and empowers young people.

During his college years, Westbrook wore the number 0 jersey Al through his pursuit at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a freshman in 2006/07, he played as a backup and was primarily used as a defender and energy player off the bench.

Westbrook averaged 3.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists for the season and finished the season averaging 12.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.6 steals. At the end of the year, he was named All-Pac-10 third on his team and won the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2017, Westbrook became one of only two players in NBA history to win league MVP, along with Oscar Robertson in 1962. He also set a record for his doubles with his 42nd most triples in one season.

In his next two seasons, he averaged his double in triples and led the league in assists, becoming the first player to win the league in points and assists in multiple seasons. In the 2020–21 season, Westbrook averaged his double with his fourth average in five seasons, surpassing Robertson for the most career triples his double in NBA history.

Westbrook is a point guard who has solidified himself as one of the most athletic in NBA history. He is also widely known for playing at a high intensity and retaining that intensity for most of the playing time.

Westbrook often speeds the game up for points in transition and tries to attack the basket. He’s good at rim attacks, but he’s also good at mid-range jump shots. He regularly creates good scoring chances for his teammates and as a result, his career has exceeded his average of eight assists per game.

Slam Dunk Show at Basketball Camp

Slam Dunk Basketball Camp is a camp for boys and girls entering grade 3 – 9 in order to increase the knowledge of the basketball game and at the same time, facilitating vitality.

Recently, Russell was photographed immersed in what is believed to be a children’s basketball camp on Saturday. The NBA veteran, who will soon be 15 years in the game, can still m jump with the best out of them. LA Lakers superstar and former league MVP, Russell Westbrook, put on a show for the kids at basketball camp. The point guard turned the camp into a dunk contest and he showed the kids some great dunks.

One of the camp girls threw a perfect lob when Westbrook dunks the ball. Being only 6ft 3 tall, the point guard is a wild athlete with incredible jumping and speed. He threw the crowd in awe and put on a show for them.

Being widely regarded as one of the fastest players in the league, Westbrook has an incredibly fast first step that allows him to slip past guarding players and ferociously hit the perimeter. Even though his pace has slowed, Westbrook is much faster than most of the players who guard him. The LA Lakers superstar has landed some great dunks over the years.
