Juventus v Sampdoria – Juventus Stadium at 19:45 live on BT Sport 3
Last weekend I profited from backing AS Roma -2 @ 1.94 on the Asian Handicap betting market, as Roma thrashed Palermo 4-1 in Serie A. On Wednesday, I now turn my attention to the league match between Juventus and Sampdoria.

Juventus lost 1-0 to Milan for the first time in the league for nearly 4 years last weekend.
The result was significant as it has really opened up the title race in Serie A. Prior to the match, Juventus held a 5 point gap over 2nd place Roma, but now that lead has been cut to only 2 points.
Last Saturday’s game was the first time Juve failed to score in a Serie A match this campaign.
Juventus have scored 2 or more goals in their last 8 league games on home soil and at home they are one of the most dangerous teams in Europe. Last season’s Serie A champions have won all of their home matches this campaign and are on a 20 game winning run in Serie A at the Juventus stadium.
Gonzalo Higuain is their current top-scorer, with 6 Serie A goals to his name.
A blow for Juventus however is that Paulo Dybala will miss 2 weeks of action, after picking up a thigh strain. Mario Mandzukic should replace him in the starting XI.
Milan face Genoa on Tuesday evening and a win would put even greater pressure on Juve ahead of their game on Wednesday.
After Sampdoria, Juventus face Napoli in another tough game and so 3 points here are vital.
Last weekend Sampdoria beat Genoa 2-1 in their local derby, with Muriel and Izzo scoring the goals. This win was vital as prior to the game, their last victory had come at the end of August, when Sampdoria beat Atalanta 2-1.
The visitors have a poor record away from home however and the Juventus Stadium is a notoriously intimidating place to travel! Sampdoria have failed to win their last 4 league games away from home, which includes 3 defeats against Roma, Bologna and Cagliari.
Sampdoria are in for a tough test, although they will be given some encouragement by Juve’s defensive record of late. The Bianconeri have conceded in 3 out of their last 4 home matches in the league and so there is every possibility Sampdoria might feature on the scoresheet; they did manage to score 2 against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico!
Scoring away from home doesn’t seem to be a problem for Sampdoria and they’ve scored 4 goals in their last 4 games on the road.
The away side are currently 15th in the Serie A table on 11 points and a defeat would see them lurk dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Juventus have won 5 of the last 6 meetings between these 2 sides and I think they will get a comfortable victory on Wednesday. When the teams last met at the Juventus Stadium in Serie A, Juve thrashed Sampdoria 5-0. Although the away side may well get on the scoresheet, I am still backing Juve to win by 2 goals or more and therefore I recommend backing Juventus -1.75 on the Asian Handicap betting market.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Juventus -1.75 @ 1.83 with Pinnacle
