Juventus v Sampdoria Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Wednesday 26th October by @tashason21

Juventus v Sampdoria – Juventus Stadium at 19:45 live on BT Sport 3

Last weekend I profited from backing AS Roma -2 @ 1.94 on the Asian Handicap betting market, as Roma thrashed Palermo 4-1 in Serie A. On Wednesday, I now turn my attention to the league match between Juventus and Sampdoria.

Juventus lost 1-0 to Milan for the first time in the league for nearly 4 years last weekend.

The result was significant as it has really opened up the title race in Serie A. Prior to the match, Juventus held a 5 point gap over 2nd place Roma, but now that lead has been cut to only 2 points.

Last Saturday’s game was the first time Juve failed to score in a Serie A match this campaign.

Juventus have scored 2 or more goals in their last 8 league games on home soil and at home they are one of the most dangerous teams in Europe. Last season’s Serie A champions have won all of their home matches this campaign and are on a 20 game winning run in Serie A at the Juventus stadium.

Gonzalo Higuain is their current top-scorer, with 6 Serie A goals to his name.

A blow for Juventus however is that Paulo Dybala will miss 2 weeks of action, after picking up a thigh strain. Mario Mandzukic should replace him in the starting XI.

Milan face Genoa on Tuesday evening and a win would put even greater pressure on Juve ahead of their game on Wednesday.

After Sampdoria, Juventus face Napoli in another tough game and so 3 points here are vital.

Last weekend Sampdoria beat Genoa 2-1 in their local derby, with Muriel and Izzo scoring the goals. This win was vital as prior to the game, their last victory had come at the end of August, when Sampdoria beat Atalanta 2-1.

The visitors have a poor record away from home however and the Juventus Stadium is a notoriously intimidating place to travel! Sampdoria have failed to win their last 4 league games away from home, which includes 3 defeats against Roma, Bologna and Cagliari.

Sampdoria are in for a tough test, although they will be given some encouragement by Juve’s defensive record of late. The Bianconeri have conceded in 3 out of their last 4 home matches in the league and so there is every possibility Sampdoria might feature on the scoresheet; they did manage to score 2 against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico!

Scoring away from home doesn’t seem to be a problem for Sampdoria and they’ve scored 4 goals in their last 4 games on the road.

The away side are currently 15th in the Serie A table on 11 points and a defeat would see them lurk dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Juventus have won 5 of the last 6 meetings between these 2 sides and I think they will get a comfortable victory on Wednesday. When the teams last met at the Juventus Stadium in Serie A, Juve thrashed Sampdoria 5-0. Although the away side may well get on the scoresheet, I am still backing Juve to win by 2 goals or more and therefore I recommend backing Juventus -1.75 on the Asian Handicap betting market.

Juventus v Udinese Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Saturday 15th October by @tashason21

Juventus v Udinese – Juventus Stadium at 19:45 live on BT Sport 3

Juventus take on Udinese in Serie A this weekend and this match is the focus of my next Asian Handicap betting preview.

Juve are currently league leaders in Serie A, after their much improved start to the new campaign compared to last season!

Massimiliano Allegri’s men have won 6 out of 7 of their league matches to date, with their only defeat coming against Inter Milan at the San Siro back in September.

Some good news for the home side is that mid-week Claudio Marchisio made his comeback from injury in a friendly. He could well return to first team action or at least the bench on Saturday after 6 months out.

Mario Mandžukić is also a likely starter and may replace Gonzalo Higuaín in the starting 11, after scoring 4 times in his 2 recent World Cup qualifiers for Croatia.

Udinese unfortunately find themselves at the opposite end of the table and sit 16th in Serie A, with only 7 points to their name.

The away side are without a win in 4 games and 3 out of 4 of those games ended in defeat.

In their last league game before the international break, Udinese suffered a 3-0 loss against Lazio on home soil.

Udinese’s last league win was back on the 11th of September against Milan (1-0), with Perica scoring the winning goal on that occasion.

Another worry for Luigi Delneri’s side is that in January Napoli could recall striker Duvan Zapata, who is currently on loan at Udinese, as a result of the long-term injury to Arkadiusz Milik. Zapata has scored 2 goals for the club during his loan spell so far and they won’t want to lose him!

In this fixture last season, Udinese came away with a surprise 1-0 victory as Théréau scored a late winner. This result was their only victory in the last 10 meetings between the clubs however and I don’t expect the same outcome this time round. Juventus are in great form and should beat Udinese with ease and therefore I recommend backing Juve -1.75 on the Asian Handicap betting market. Victory by a 2 goal margin would return half the profit and a win by 3 goals + would return full profit.

Juventus v Sevilla Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Weds 14th September by @tashason21

My first Champions League Asian Handicap betting preview of the new season sees Juventus take on Europa League champions Sevilla.

[expand title=”Read More…” swaptitle=”Hide” trigpos=”below” rel=”star-highlander” ]

In 2015 these sides met in Group D and Juventus won 2-0 at home, with Sevilla winning 1-0 in the return leg.

Llorente, Zaza and Morata scored the goals over both legs, although all of these players now play for different clubs.

Juve’s main danger is Gonzalo Higuain who has already scored 3 goals in his first 3 Serie A games.

The Italians have had an excellent start to the season, beating Fiorentina (2-1), Lazio (1-0) and Sassuolo (3-1).

In Europe Juventus have gone 17 home matches unbeaten, with their last defeat being against Bayern Munich back in 2013.

Last season Massimiliano Allegri’s men managed to progress to the knock-out stage, only to get eliminated by Bayern Munich.

Juventus also reached the Champions League final in 2014/15, but lost out to Barcelona who won 3-1.

Sevilla failed to make it past the group stage last time round, although they went on to lift the Europa League trophy for the 5th time in 11 years.

Believe it or not, the Spanish side are yet to progress beyond the Round of 16 in this competition! Last campaign they suffered 4 defeats in their 6 Champions League group stage games.

Away from home, they seem to struggle in Europe and are currently on a 5 match win-less run in this competition.

Sevilla have started their La Liga season strongly, with wins over Espanyol (6-4) and Las Palmas (2-1), as well as a draw away to Villarreal (0-0).

Juventus have a great record against Spanish opponents however, which reads as 14 wins, 7 draws and 2 defeats.

The Italians are undoubtedly flying at the moment and I am confident that if you back them -1 on the Asian Handicap Betting market, you’ll return a profit. A Juventus victory by 2 goals or more would land a winner and they aren’t short of goals currently!
