5 NFL Teams to Watch Out for this 2020

Despite the fact that the world of sports has been on pause since the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL is still the center of attention for many sports fans. This is due to the recently concluded 2020 NFL Draft last April. The 85th annual meeting was done via videoconferencing, and the NFL teams were able to select and gain new eligible players for the 2020 NFL season.

With this done, it might be great for fans and bettors to get to know the NFL power rankings this year and see whether their favorite teams have come up on top. The list below shows some of the best NFL teams to watch out for.

#1 Kansas City Chiefs

One of the reasons why this team is considered a force to be reckoned with is because they have one of the best offensive teams in the NFL. This has even gotten better with the selection of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who will help give Patrick Homes a weapon in the backfield. They also upgraded the team by strengthening the inside linebackers by selecting Willie Gay Jr. These picks are making it look great for the Chiefs. Also, another essential thing that makes the Chiefs a formidable team is because they have Patrick Mahomes, a quarterback that has won an MVP award and a Super Bowl in three seasons.

#2 Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens may have lost Marshal Yanda to retirement, but they have selected great NFL players to their teams. Last year, they were known to be the best team in the league. With Lamar Jackson winning the MVP award and by setting the record for rushing yards, the NFL team had a promising year. But, they were not able to pick up the pace in the playoffs. That is why, in the offseason, they plan on becoming even better. For their defense, they had added veterans Derek Wolfe and Calais Campbell, who is a 5-time Pro Bowler. They also picked Patrick Queen and Malik Harrison for their inside linebackers in the 2020 draft. For their offense, the Ravens chose J.K. Dobbins and Devin Duvernay.

#3 New Orleans Saints

The Saints have made quite a few changes and additions to their team. They might also be considered as one of the most complete teams in the franchise because there isn’t a single position that can be thought of as an area of weakness. They have replaced players such as for the wide receiver, they now have Emmanuel Sanders, and for interior offense, they have Cesar Ruiz. For the outside linebacker, they drafted Zack Baun to replace A.J. Klein. The Saints also picked Malcolm Jenkins, who is a 3-time Pro Bowler and 2-time Super Bowl champion to replace Vonn Bell.

#4 San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are almost the same team as when they had their NFC championship, except they have selected some rookies to replace their previous players DeForest Buckner and Emmanuel Sanders. They drafted Javon Kinlaw, who has the potential to be a disruptive player and Brandon Aiyuk, a wide receiver, who should be a great balance to offset the loss of Sanders. For their defense, they also have Arik Armstead and Jimmie Ward.

#5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This NFL team is brimming with excitement because of the favourable selections that they have made for this year. They drafted none other than one of the most famous quarterbacks in history, Tom Brady. This 6-time Super Bowl-winning player is an excellent addition to the team. Not to mention that they also nabbed players like Tristan Wirfs, one of this year’s top tackle players, and Rob Gronkowski as the tight end player. Other players include Ke’ Shawn Vaughn, Tyler Johnson, Ndamukong Suh, and Antoine Winfield Jr. With these picks, the Buccaneers have become one of the prime contenders for the Super Bowl.

With such powerhouse teams, no wonder fans and bettors are excited. You can take this opportunity to go to the best bookie agent sites to bet for your NFL teams.

5 Football Players that Should’ve Already Been Inducted to the HoF

Rumours are circulating that the National Football League (NFL) will be inducting up to 20 football players in the Hall of Fame (HoF) class of 2020. But those are, well, rumours. The NFL has been criticised time and again about the limited number of inductees every year.

This is also the reason why some pro footballers should have already been living as Gold Jackets. If not for the deliberate snubbing of the committee, that is.

Here are the names of these players.

1) Ray Lewis

Lewis is the only NFL player who was selected for the Pro Bowls for 13 times. Other than being seven-time First-Team All-Pro, he was also the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team first-team linebacker.

Lewis was the defender to beat in the 2000s. If not for him, the Baltimore Ravens would not achieve what it had. The team won the Super Bowl XXXV. He received the Super Bowl MVP award as well as two Defensive MVP titles.

2) Junior Seau

Seau is one of the greatest linebackers in the history of the NFL, playing for San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots from 1990 to 2009. He was a six-time First-Team All-Pro. He also appeared in the Pro Bowl 12 times.

He was included in the 1990s All-Decade Team as a first-team linebacker. The Chargers won the AFC championship title and appeared in Super Bowl XXIX because of Seau.

Unfortunately, he took his life in 2012 but chose to donate his brain so the medical community could study it. He wanted to contribute to understanding how several concussions may lead to physical discomfort later on in life.

3) Tony Gonzalez

Gonzalez played for 12 Pro Bowls. He was also a five-time First-Team All-Pro in addition to being included in the 2000s All-Decade team as the first-team tight end.

As one of the top tight end receivers, he was in the seventh ranking in receiving yards and sixth in touchdown catches. He led the record for all-time catches and touchdowns by a tight end in 2007. In 2008, he led the receiving yardage of all-time among tight ends.

Gonzalez has not any Super Bowl ring which could be the reason for the snub.

4) Will Shields

Like Seau and Gonzalez, Shields was a 12-time Pro Bowl selection. Shields was also voted twice to be included in the First-Team All-Pro. He was the 2000s All-Decade Team second-team guard.

Shields also became one of the starting players on his second game as a rookie. He was then included in the starting lineup in the next 2323 games that he played for the Kansas City Chiefs.

5) Brett Favre

Favre was a QB for Atlanta Falcon, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and the Minnesota Vikings. He appeared in 11 Pro Bowls games. Favre was also a three-time First-Team All-Pro member. In the 1990s All-Decade Team, he was named as a second-team QB.

He led the record for the number of touchdowns thrown as 235 touchdown passes. With this, he became an MVP from 1995 to 1997, the first player to win the title three times. He still holds the record for the all-time passing yardage for a QB with 65,127 yards.  He was one of the reasons the Packers won the Super Bowl XXXI.

5 NFL Teams with the Highest Chance to Win Super Bowl LIV

Winning the Super Bowl is the ultimate goal of every NFL team. Unfortunately, while all teams think they can surely win it, only a few NFL teams have a clear shot of doing so.

The New England Patriots are the fans’ perennial favourite to bring home the championship title. But the team is the exception, having won six titles and appearing in 11 championship games, not necessarily the rule.

Nothing is certain or guaranteed, however.

Realistically, these are the NFL teams who can actually win the Super Bowl.

1) New England Patriots

The Patriots can be an underdog, but with ever-reliable Tom Brady around, no one would consider them so. It takes pride in its elite defence worthy of the playoffs and of course, the title.

2) Kansas City Chiefs

The Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs has a strong possibility of grabbing the Super Bowl from the Patriots. Mahomes has the experience and expertise despite his less stellar crew. Their offence plays are the key as well as the additional playmakers in Tyrann Mathieu and Frank Clark.

3) New Orleans Saints

The Saints has a job to finish this season considering the ending of last season’s NFC championship. The thirst to win the conference and league championship is there and has always been there. The MVP level plays of Drew Brees could be the team’s secret formula.

4) Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are one of NFL’s loaded teams. However, the team’s prospect of appearing in the Super Bowl this season is bleak. Todd Gurley’s health is questionable at this point. The only two players dependable right now are Sean McVay and Jared Goff if the two would find ways to make quality plays.

5) Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are the Patriots counterpart at the NFC in terms of the favourite team to win the Super Bowl. The team’s performance, nevertheless, is too far from that of the Patriots’. Despite the major concern—Carson Wentz’s health, the Eagles has one of the strongest and deepest running backs in the NFL. If he would stay healthy and team up with DeSean Jackson incredibly, there is no stopping the Eagles from winning the Super Bowl.

Unlikely contenders at the Super Bowl

Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dallas Cowboys would have a hard time proving they are worthy of the Super Bowl trophy.

Los Angeles Chargers seemed a likely contender from the start. But the fact that their main man, Philip Rivers, is getting old and slow in the fields is pulling them backwards. The same goes for Derwin James’s injury.

Cleveland Browns have never appeared in the playoffs since 2002. But its roster of power players including Baker Mayfield, Myles Garrett, and Nick Chubb may write a different story this season.

Chicago Bears’ performance last season was seriously promising, duplicating the strategy is a must this season if it wants to win the Super Bowl trophy. The missed field goal is one for the NFL history book, which also means it needs to get its kicking situation better.

Pittsburgh Steelers may no longer have LeVon Bell and Antonio Brown, but Ben Roethlisberger is still there. This makes it all the more interesting to watch the Steelers—they could end up this season’s real success story or disaster.

Finally, Dallas Cowboys is just waiting for its breakthrough year. Whether this season is that year, there is no way of knowing until it’s time for the Super Bowl.
