Wolfsburg v Borussia Dortmund Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Tuesday 20th September by @tashason21

After landing 3/3 Asian Handicap betting winners last weekend, I am hoping my run continues into this week’s Bundesliga!

Wolfsburg won their opening game of the season 2-0 away at Augsburg, but have since failed to win or score.

An abundance of missed opportunities sums up the consecutive 0-0 draws in the Bundesliga against FC Koln and Hoffenheim.

Despite being the better side on Saturday against Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg worryingly lacked composure up top. Striker Mario Gomez is yet to get off the mark for his new side and again couldn’t deliver the goods.

Last season Wolfsburg finished 8th in the Bundesliga and they have noticeably struggled since the sale of Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City.

Dieter Hecking will be hoping his side can get an important 3 points against Dortmund, although this is certainly going to be their toughest clash of the new season in the league to date.

Wolfsburg will be encouraged by their home form however, as they’ve lost just 3 of their last 35 games at home

Dortmund currently lie 5th in the Bundesliga and thrashed Darmstadt 6-0 last Saturday. What a way to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 loss to newly promoted RB Leipzig!

The strength of Dortmund’s team across the pitch is demonstrated by the 5 different goalscorers that appeared on the score-sheet against Darmstadt! Castro looked impressive again, bagging a brace for his side.

Thomas Tuchel’s men are banging in the goals and also thrashed Legia Warsaw 6-0 away from home in their first Champions League group game last week.

At the Volkswagen Arena last season, Dortmund came out 2-1 winners with Kagawa and Reus scoring the goals. A Ricardo Rodriguez penalty was a consolation for Wolfsburg on that night.

In the reverse fixture Dortmund also came out on top, with a 5-1 Bundesliga win at the Westfalenstadion.

This clash usually delivers in terms of goals and as a result I recommend backing over 3 goals, which looks a good price at 2.06.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Over 3 goals @ 2.06 with Pinnacle

Wolfsburg v Gent Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Tue 8th March by @tashason21

Wolfsburg v Gent – Volkswagen Arena at 19:45 live on BT Sport 2

Wolfsburg take on Gent in the 2nd leg of this Champions League tie which will determine who makes it through to the last 8. Both sides are in the knockout stages of this competition for the 1st time in their history, so regardless of the outcome, this in itself is a great achievement.

In the 1st leg, the German side beat Gent 3-2, although incredibly up until the 80th minute, Wolfsburg had a 3 nil lead! 2 late goals scored by Kums and Coulibaly kept Gent in the tie, although Wolfsburg will be satisfied with their 3 away goals, which included a Draxler brace and 1 from Kruse.

Last weekend Wolfsburg secured an impressive 2-1 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach and as a result have climbed up to 7th in the Bundesliga table. Prior to that, they also beat Hannover 4-0 away from home and these back-to-back victories will give the German side every confidence that they can send the Belgian outlet out of the competition.

Dieter Hecking’s side also have an impressive home record, with only Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund having taken maximum points at the Volkswagen Arena so far this campaign. The good news for Wolfsburg is that they only need a draw against Gent in order to progress to the last 8.

Gent are currently 2nd in the Belgian Pro League table, although they have struggled away from home this season, having been beaten in 4 of their last 5 matches on the road. The away side are undefeated in their last 2 games however, most recently drawing 1-1 against OH Leuven.

Scoring has also been a problem for Gent away from the Ghelamco Arena and they’ve failed to find the net in 3 of their last 5 away matches. This does not bode well for Tuesday when away goals are required!

Although Gent put up a fight in the 1st leg, on home turf I think Wolfsburg will be too strong and therefore I recommend backing the German team -1 on the Asian Handicap betting market. Wolfsburg should be able to put several goals past Gent’s shaky defence, whilst their own tends to remain rather solid, especially at the Volkswagen Arena.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Wolfsburg -1 @ 1.85 with 188BET
