How Ridiculous Tennis Bad Boy Nick Kyrgios Can Get? This Is HOW

It’s important to find balance between Pokemon and training. ~~Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios.

The name itself conjures ugly sights and memories—perhaps the ugliest moments in tennis.

Who is Nick Kyrgios?

Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios is an Australian tennis player who turned pro in 2012. Kyrgios reached his highest ranking in October 2016 at No. 13. He was the highest-ranked Australian player men’s tennis singles.

Kyrgios is the third player to upset Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic the first time he played against each.

An admittedly aggressive player on the court, Kyrgios has six career titles.

While fans adored him for his character, it is also the same reason why spectators and the media loathe Kyrgios.

He has a reputation for being hot-tempered, but these are some of the most ridiculous things he did so far.

Threw a chair onto the court

In May 2019, after a losing match against Casper Ruud at the Italian Open, Kyrgios threw a fit quite literally.

He smashed his racket, kicked a water bottle, threw the chair, and shouted at the spectators. He did all these after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was called on him.

Kyrgios was disqualified and fined $25,000.

Picked a fight with Stan Wawrinka

One for the books, Kyrgios told Wawrinka that his friend, Thanasi Kokkinakis banged his girlfriend during their 2015 Rogers Cup match.

He was even heard saying that Wawrinka was “banging 18-year-olds.”

Kyrgios was fined ($13,127) and given penalties ($32,818). He was also banned at the ATP tours for 28 days.

He said that he already apologized. But Wawrinka denied any apols from Kyrgios.

Admitted tanking at least eight tournaments

Kyrgios has always been accused of tanking or deliberately playing less of his abilities since 2015. He usually does so when his opponent was not that popular. He was even booed for such on-court behaviour one time.

In 2017, he admitted that he did tank when he would rather be doing something else than playing tennis.

At one time also, he openly discussed his lack of interest in tennis. He does not love the sports at all; he’s not the guy who belongs to “one-percenters” or those who are more dedicated and want to get better at it.

Asked for a beer during a match

Kyrgios loves his beer. In Wimbledon 2019, Rafael Nadal who he once called ‘salty’ beat him in the second round because he was out the night before (with journalists) drinking.

But what happened at the 2017 French Open after losing to Kevin Anderson after four sets was unforgettable.

He smashed several rackets before asking a fan for a bottle of beer. Kyrgios reportedly said, “Get me a beer now… Get me one now.”

While stepping out the court, he did not sign a single autograph. He was caught sating “it’s a joke.”

Clashed with umpire Fergus Murphy

During a Cincinnati Masters match, Kyrgios attacked Murphy when the umpire called his attention for taking too much time serving.

The Aussie did not like it, calling Murphy the “worst referee in the game.” He also referred to the umpire as a “f***ing tool.” It was also reported that he spit at the umpire.

He proceeded with smashing two rackets.

Kyrgios was fined $25,000 and received a 16-week suspension. He was also fined $113,000 for five other cases of unsportsmanlike conduct following the Cincinnati Masters incident.
